Media Manager

The role encompasses:

1.      Involvement in the media strategy development process.

2.      The effective translation of the media strategy / property into detailed plans.

3.      Identification and management of creative / innovative media initiatives that are born out of the strategic media direction.

4.      Management of the implementation of plans throughout their delivery.

5.      Client liaison.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1) Origination of the Media Plans

  • Working with the Planning Team to create clear and coherent plans that bring the media strategy to life.

  • In-depth assessment of all candidate media options and detailed recommendation of proposed communication solutions.

  • Involvement in creative development workshops as required and expectation to collaborate closely with creative agency teams to develop integrated recommendations.

  • Working closely with the Business Director in your team to ensure smooth and relevant translation from strategy to plan.

  • Assess, identify and recommend creative media initiatives that deliver greater strategy depth and impact to the media plan.

  • Undertake the implementation of agreed initiatives, including the briefing of third parties, as and when required.

  • Be able to confidently present Fusion5 principles to clients and talk fluidly about how they are essential to delivering robust media planning

 

 

2) Management of the implementational process and client relationship management

  • You will both work alongside the team as well as be specifically responsible for clients delivery for your assigned accounts.

  • Origination of detailed briefs for relevant third party units (e.g. the Buying Unit, Direct, Digital)

  • Day to day management and ownership of implementation process. Ensure brief is delivered / brought to plan, within appropriate criteria (budget, targets, etc)

  • Principal client contact for the whole implementation process (from presentation of detailed recommendations to negotiation and inventory management issues)

  • Collation and reporting of competitive data (when relevant)

  • Timely delivery and upkeep of all relevant reporting systems and templates (media plans, contact reports, status reports)

  •  Post campaign reporting that quantifies the value of the media strategy

 

3) Protecting our high standards

  • Ensure that any work that leaves the agency is of the highest standard

  • Always challenge “mediocrity” (if you don’t know what this means, ask your CEO)

 

Experience required:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience strong end to end media planning & implementation/buying experience across all channels (offline and online)

  • Strong client facing communication & presentation skills

  • Methodical and demonstrates attention to detail

  • Planning, organisational and prioritisation skills

 

  • Strong mathematical skills and excellent literacy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactivity and problem solving

  • Confident in high pressure situations

  • Strong knowledge of key media owners & their offering

  • Strong presentation skills
